As the President of Harvesting Change, she leads with vision, compassion, and a deep commitment to creating a resource-rich hub for farmers, homesteaders, and all those interested in living a more self-sustaining life. With a passion for bringing people together, she has guided Harvesting Change to become a place where knowledge, skills, and community support are shared freely.

Guided by the organization’s mission, she works to foster a sense of belonging and mutual support for those exploring the farm life. Whether it’s through hands-on learning opportunities, community gatherings, or offering a helping hand in times of need, she ensures that Harvesting Change remains a beacon of growth and resilience. Her leadership reflects the core belief that when people come together to nurture the land and one another, true change is not only possible—it is inevitable.

Karen serves as the Vice President of Harvesting Change, bringing a wide range of skills and an inspiring dedication to community building. With extensive experience in community engagement and administration, she provides strong leadership and helps guide the organization’s growth with a steady hand. 

Her love for animals, both big and small, reflects her caring and compassionate nature. Outside of her work with Harvesting Change, Karen is a skilled cosmetologist who enjoys uplifting others and expressing creativity in her spare time. Her energy, love for people and animals, and dedication to the mission make her an invaluable part of the team.

She/Her – Kaitlyn is the dedicated animal caretaker at Harvesting Change, responsible for feeding, cleaning, egg collecting, and overseeing the well-being of all our farm animals. Her care and commitment ensure that our animals are healthy, happy, and thriving.

In addition to animal care, Kaitlyn is an avid builder—she helps construct new animal pens, repairs older structures, and pitches in with gardening projects around the farm. Passionate about sustainable living, Kaitlyn spends her spare time crocheting, playing with the animals, and continually learning new skills for living off the land.

Rennie serves as the Treasurer of Harvesting Change, bringing both practical skills and a warm heart to the team. With a strong knack for finances, she carefully manages budgets and ensures that every dollar entrusted to the organization is used wisely to support its mission. 

Beyond her professional strengths, Rennie’s love for animals shines through—especially when it comes to her chickens, who she cares for with great joy. When she’s not crunching numbers or helping at the farm, Rennie can usually be found tending to her own garden at home, where she grows a variety of plants and enjoys the simple rewards of nurturing the soil. Her dedication to both the land and the people around her makes her a treasured part of Harvesting Change.

Roberto serves as the Executive Director of Harvesting Change, where he oversees all aspects of building, construction, and the development of new programs. With a strong background in hands-on work and problem-solving, he ensures that the farm has the structures and systems needed to operate safely, sustainably, and efficiently. From designing and maintaining animal enclosures to building garden beds and storage areas, Roberto makes sure our physical space grows right alongside our mission.

Beyond construction and repairs, Roberto plays a vital role in guiding volunteers, teaching them new skills, and encouraging teamwork. His steady presence helps keep daily operations running smoothly, while his commitment to safety ensures that everyone feels supported and confident while working on projects. Dedicated, hardworking, and community-minded, Roberto is not only maintaining the farm’s foundation but also helping to build a place where people and ideas can thrive together.
