General Awareness
- Be mindful of your surroundings—this is a working farm with uneven ground, tools, animals, and natural hazards (such as insects or snakes).
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Clothing & Gear
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and comfortable outdoor clothing.
- Bring sunscreen, a hat, and drinking water, especially in hot weather.
- Gloves and protective gear are recommended when using tools or handling animals.
Tool & Equipment Safety
- Use only tools and equipment you’ve been trained to handle.
- Return tools to their proper place after use.
- Report any broken or unsafe tools to a staff member immediately.
Animal Safety
- Treat animals gently and with respect.
- Only enter animal enclosures or feed animals when guided by a staff member.
- Wash hands after animal contact.
Health & Emergency
- Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
- Notify staff right away in case of injury, illness, or emergency.
- First aid kits are available on-site.
Farm Etiquette
- No drugs, alcohol, or smoking outside designated areas.
- Be respectful of others, the land, and our shared community space.
- Follow posted signs and staff instructions at all times.
